Ingredients
3 ripe bananas (mashed)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
3/4 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for a richer taste)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or more, depending on your preference)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Mash bananas in a large bowl.
Mix wet ingredients: Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla to the mashed bananas. Stir to combine.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
Fold in walnuts gently.
Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
